🔥 AI is the new amenity. 🔥 The first day of the first #Nexuscon by Nexus Labs and it feels different. The conversations aren't fluffy, the friends talk in nitty gritty details, the newcomers are integrated and welcomed. (Post pic perfectly captures these vibes and perfect weather!) For lunch, I sat with Ben Cooper (BGO) and Kristian Lavereau (SensorSuite Inc.), among others, with a table topic that we stuck to and got into pretty deep. The topic was related to how AI will change job roles in the future. We integrated learnings from earlier in the day to support our stances. I immediately brought up Sabine Lam's (Google) case study where she explained the journey to get approval for new software. The storytelling goes something like: ➡ "Why lead with AI? It tells a story better and excites people more than 'we can save 10%.'" Ben echoed this sentiment with stories of meetings where people multi-task until everyone's favorite abbreviation "A.I." is mentioned. Then, full attention turns to the speaker. Nods around the table showed this wasn't unusual. We brought up the struggles in CRE and how companies like Amazon are calling people back into the office 5 days a week come 2025. We covered strategies and things to get people to want to come back, which is when the convo intersected with AI. 🔥 AI is the new amenity. 🔥 Buildings want to be innovative, comfortable, interesting, energy-efficient and, likely above all, higher than 40% capacity. Is AI the new marble floors and coffee shops? Maybe 🤔 Pretty solid outcomes for a lunch breakout session, right? Well done creating this multi-faceted stage, James Dice, Rosy Tyan, Brad B., Carly Stansfield! I'm excited to MC a conversation tomorrow and continue to represent the Nantum AI team! And I know this won't be my only post about this conference... #smartbuildings #decarbonization #AI #cooperationovercompetition
