Helping improve the lives of 40 million older adults by 2030.
About us
Since 1950, we’ve walked beside generations of Americans. We were the first national voice for older adults. We helped end mandatory retirement. We advocated to secure Medicare, Medicaid, and the Older Americans Act. Local organizations turned to us for support as they served older adults every day. At NCOA, we deliver the resources, digital tools, best practices, and advocacy our nation needs to ensure that every person can age with health and financial security. Because aging well for all is a matter of equity. A matter of dignity. And a matter of justice.

Audrey, age 73, endured a heart attack along with lifelong medical issues. While her resilience amazed her doctors, she felt the weight of financial struggles. “We’ve been struggling more than you would believe,” she shared. “In fact, I didn’t pay the house this month, and I can’t even think of what I still have to pay.” With help from an NCOA partner, Audrey applied for the Medicare Savings Plan and gained so much more giving both her and her son enough to cover essential household expenses. Audrey is one of the many success stories made possible through support from individuals like you. Thanks to our donors and partners, we’ve improved the lives of nearly 31 million hashtag #OlderAdults, reaching 2.9 million Americans last year alone. However, we know there is more work to be done in ensuring everyone has the resources to hashtag #AgeWell. You can help us build a better future today! 💖 Your gift to NCOA empowers older adults like Audrey to improve their lives by accessing vital resources and programs for aging with health and economic well-being.
