National Raisin Company remembers Ashkehn Toutikian. 🕊 Ashkehn worked at National Raisin Company from September of 1992 and retired in December of 2016. She was a beloved associate, key member of our Shipping Department, and dedicated almost 25 years to National Raisin Company. The NRC Safety Department would like to express our gratitude to every Safety Officer (past and present) who has contributed to promoting our safety culture. We also appreciate the department managers for supporting and allowing associates to participate. The Safety Officer program was relaunched in November 2022 and, since then, we have observed significant improvements in our safety practices. Safety Officers are assigned various tasks which include conducting safety training with departments and reporting unsafe conditions or behaviors. Historically, the months of November and December have had a high injury frequency; however, these collective efforts have resulted in a reduction of injuries and allowed NRC to go 91 days without a recordable claim. Together, we are improving our safety mindset and looking out for one another to ensure that we all go home safely to our families.
