NSF is committed to highlighting work that advances our understanding of sleep health in underserved communities. People from historically underserved communities experience more severe insomnia, but few studies have looked at why this is the case. Research published in NSF’s Sleep Health journal found that racial discrimination plays an important role. Understanding the causes of sleep health disparities is an important step towards sleep health equity and to helping anyone and everyone be their Best Slept Self®. #SleepHealthEquity
