ASLA members Dr. Sohyun Park, ASLA, PhD, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture, University of Connecticut, and MaFe Gonzalez, ASLA, Landscape Designer and Botanist, BASE Landscape Architecture, attended #COP16, where critical global discussions on #biodiversity frameworks are taking place.
For the first time, UConn has obtained observer status at the Sixteenth Conference of the Parties (#COP16) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (#CBD)! This privilege granted us access to the Blue Zone, where global negotiations and key discussions on #biodiversity frameworks are taking place. Our team had the incredible opportunity to attend plenary sessions, working groups, and some of the most influential talks in the Blue Zone. We are honored to represent UConn at this historic event, joining the global conversation to shape policies that protect our planet’s ecosystems. Stay tuned as we continue participating and sharing insights from COP16! #COP16 #CBD #UConn #Biodiversity #Sustainability #GlobalLeadership COP16 Colombia University of Connecticut UConn Global UConn Office of Sustainability UConn Center for Environmental Sciences and Engineering (Institute of the Environment) American Society of Landscape Architects
