Meet Sherry! Sherry is an IT Manager I with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and has been with the state for 21 years! Her favorite part about her job is The favorite part of my job is working with the people here at the State and helping solve problems and making the processes better for the State of Nebraska. We asked Sherry a few more questions to get to know her better! 🍰How does your job make a difference/impact Nebraskans? My job is a small piece to deliver services to the citizens of the State of Nebraska. The teams I manage supports the systems to process application, qualify applicants, and assist with the delivery of the services once qualified. It is a behind the scenes job to assist the citizens of Nebraska. 🍰 Why did you choose a career with the State of Nebraska? I'm a lifelong Nebraskan and working here I have the opportunity to give back to the state that I love. 🍰What is an interesting/ fun fact about yourself? I love to bake! And my husband John and I love to do all the Nebraska Passport stops! We have completed the tour three times. We will end this spotlight with Sherry's favorite quote! Meet Jonathan! Jonathan is a Corrections Sergeant with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. In his position, Jonathan provides guidance and instruction to new recruits during their orientation period and evaluates the performance of employees throughout their tenure. He also supervises and coordinates the activities of staff, including: correctional officers, counselors, and support personnel.
