A few key takeaways: -The C-store industry is enormous: 150,000+ locations generating 160+ million transaction a day -These transactions generate a tremendous amount of data; business, operations, supply chain, in-store, out of home, and customer data -Customer data is critical in the C-store industry; according to a McKinsey & Company study, 71% of consumers expect companies to provide personalized interactions and 40% of consumers buy more from retailers who personalize the shopping experience across channels -In order to evolve your customer data, retailers need to think about where to store customer data, how to create a single view of customers, and how to active customer data to deliver business outcomes -Listen to the webinar replay to hear how these data-driven marketers were able to overcome barriers in their companies to evolve their customer data strategies The speakers also shared a "Customer Data Maturity Model". He enjoyed shopping as a customer through their Blast Chiller, Hydration Station, and Wall O' Beers! He was most impressed with how their LoopBack Rewards shows up in-store. Digital signage, pop-up banners, cashier enrollment scripts, and pamphlets showcasing the program's value... also with a QR code for easy app downloads.
