Las night, the Central Florida Marine Corps Foundation (CFMCF) (501)(c)(19) hosted its 2024 Ball in celebration of the 249th birthday of the Marine Corps. The evening showcased many Marine traditions however, the most special moment was witnessing the entire room on its feet to celebrate 101 year old Marine, Sally, who had the honor of cutting the celebratory cake! Congratulations to the many who made the 249th Marine Corps Birthday Ball a success, and who cared for every detail and need of the 900 guests in attendance. Happy Birthday Marines! This past drill weekend at Navy Reserve Center - Orlando, recruiters had the fantastic opportunity to host a service expo bringing together drilling reserve sailors with vital local resources. With exhibitors like the USO, Orange County Veteran Service Office, and the Camaraderie Foundation on hand, reserve members discovered a range of services that focused on mental health, job support, community activities, and veteran benefits. It was a great way to connect reservists, highlight the amazing work these organizations do, and foster a sense of togetherness among everyone involved. The expo opened the door for collaboration among local service providers, helping them share ideas and strengthen their programs. Reserve members had the chance to learn about the various resources available to them, making it easier to find support when needed. Overall, the event was a great reminder of how important community is in supporting reserve members and their families. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future!
