This week our 2024 corporate summer interns kicked off their charity project! They are raising funds for The Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House provides families with children in the hospital a place to stay. At a Ronald McDonald House families can be together, enjoy home-cooked meals and receive compassionate hospitality and support from staff and volunteers- all near the child’s hospital. To boost donations, our interns have organized a raffle exclusively for our employees and a special cookie day for all contributors. In just 5 days, they’re already halfway to their goal!

This week we celebrated Founders Day with an Ice Cream Social in honor of Dr. Fredric Rieders, the visionary founder of NMS Labs & the Fredric Rieders Family Foundation which runs the CFSRE. Dr. Rieders was a scientist, innovator, mentor, educator, entrepreneur who enjoyed a sweet treat. NMS Labs Executives, Barry Logan, Eric Rieders, Jennifer Charlton Keith Hoerth, Marianne Jackson, Robert Middleberg scooped ice cream and gratitude for employees of NMS Labs and CFSRE who carry out Dr. Rieders' vision every day and are a part of his enduring legacy. As we celebrate this 4th of July, we are grateful to law enforcement agencies across the country who keep our roads safe from all forms of impaired driving. Alcohol isn’t the only risk—drug-impaired driving (DUID) can be just as dangerous. Proper testing is essential to detect and prevent these threats. NMS Labs offers DUID toxicology panels that include the seven Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) drug categories and the priority drug groups identified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The panels also follow guidelines for drug-impaired driving investigations from the National Safety Council.
