As we continue our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re excited to introduce our second panelist, danny ortiz, who was featured in our THRIVE meeting earlier this month. Danny has been with Noodles for twelve years and is currently an Operations Training Specialist on our training team. ✨ As a second-generation Mexican immigrant, Danny witnessed how his heritage can serve as a powerful source of inspiration in the professional world. The values of hard work, community, and collaboration that are deeply rooted in Latino culture have shaped his approach to teamwork and leadership. By leveraging these principles, Danny believes; “that we can create strong relationships and an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and empowered. Celebrating our cultural heritage, especially during Hispanic Heritage Month, not only promotes a sense of belonging but also fosters understanding among colleagues.” 🌱 Danny also highlighted the importance of recognizing the challenges that face the Hispanic Community such as stereotypes that hinder progress. “It’s essential for organizations to step up with mentorship programs that uplift diverse backgrounds, creating supportive structures for growth.” Danny shares. 🌍 Danny believes that building an inclusive environment means actively listening and embracing different perspectives. Danny’s last message is, “When we come together to support one another, we enrich our professional landscape and inspire others to do the same. Let’s harness our heritage to uplift each other and create a more resilient community!” We’re so grateful to have Danny on our team. His passion for supporting and empowering fellow Noodlers makes a real difference every day. 👏

At the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, our THRIVE Resource group was honored to highlight three inspiring Hispanic leaders in different areas of the company. We’re excited to celebrate these panelists on LinkedIn and share the themes of their powerful messages with the broader community. Our first panelist that we have the pleasure of introducing is Victor Garcia. Victor has been with Noodles for almost 15 years and is currently an Area Manager with us in Minnesota. ✨ Victor’s message centered on the importance of representation in the workplace. When asked, “Why did you want to become an Area Manager?” Victor shared the impactful story of his first time meeting Frank Rodriguez (VP of Operations) and how that meeting made his own career trajectory feel achievable. Since then, Victor has developed from General Manager to Area Manager. 🤝 But his story doesn't stop there. Victor’s advice is to "bring someone with you." He shared a powerful example of paying it forward by helping a shift manager, who lacked confidence in their English, develop all the way to becoming a General Manager. 💪 Victor is committed to breaking down barriers and being an inclusive leader by meeting his team where they are, not where they’re expected to be. “People are often harder on themselves than they need to be,” he believes. Noodles & Company is proud to have Victor as part of our team. His passion and fearless leadership are invaluable, and Noodles has the distinguished privilege to celebrate Victors not just today, but every day! 👏

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! Thrive, our BIPOC focused resource group, will theme their upcoming meeting in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month! Thrive has the honor of hosting a panel of impactful Hispanic leaders here at Noodles & Company in different areas of the organization. The audience will have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of danny ortiz (Field Training Specialist), Victor Garcia (Area Manager), and Dani Valdivieso (Field Recruiter) as they share best practices and stories of perseverance. Thrive is also happy to announce that the discussion will be moderated by George Gutierrez the inaugural Thrive Lead. The panelists will provide insight on the impact of inclusive leadership, show the importance of representation in the workplace, in addition to showing different career paths for the Noodlers in our restaurants!
