I had an incredible opportunity to host Dr. Robert Califf, FDA Commissioner, and the FDA Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE) last week at a roundtable focusing on LGBTQ+ 🏳️🌈 and other underrepresented communities and the inequities that exist in clinical research. I was joined by an incredible group of researchers and community advocates in this space. I feel so fortunate that I get to work with these brilliant people and both the North Carolina Community Health Center Association and FDA OMHHE to improve clinical trial equity. OMHHE has been a great partner and is truly committed to increasing access for all communities.

We are grateful for the leadership of NC Representative Donna White, chair of the NC House Health Committee, who is a recipient of our 2024 Community Health Advocate of the Year award. Rep.
