We’re thrilled to announce that our Baltimore County Circuit Court Jury Assembly Renovation project will be awarded the Diamond Award at the ABC Greater Baltimore Excellence in Construction Awards! This $5 million renovation transformed the first floor of the courthouse, enhancing the jury selection process with a modern and versatile 14,000 SF space. It features adaptable jury assembly rooms, soundproof voir dire rooms, and improved security measures. Inclusivity and accessibility were key focuses, with the addition of five gender-neutral bathrooms, a lactation room, and separate elevator access for the public, judges, and detainees. We couldn’t be more proud of our team’s hard work, attention to detail, and dedication to quality and safety. This project was a true collaboration with Baltimore County Circuit Court and all our incredible partners. We’re excited to celebrate this achievement tomorrow at the awards ceremony. We’re honored to announce that our Morgan State University Memorial Chapel Window Restoration project will be receiving the Platinum Award at the ABC Greater Baltimore Excellence in Construction Awards! This significant project focused on restoring the historic chapel's windows and doors, including painting, lead paint removal, asbestos abatement, and a meticulous preservation approach.  As a site honored on the National Register of Historic Places, the chapel embodies the rich cultural legacy of Morgan State University, Maryland's leading public historically Black university. Throughout the restoration, our team worked diligently to preserve the chapel’s historical and religious significance. This project wasn’t without its challenges, including phasing the work to minimize disruptions to the university and working within the constraints of a busy, occupied campus. But with our collaborative efforts alongside Morgan State University, Gant Brunnett Architects, and local leadership, we successfully revitalized this treasured landmark. We're incredibly proud of our team's commitment to quality, safety, and historical preservation, ensuring that future generations can continue to appreciate this iconic building. We’re thrilled to celebrate our Platinum Award for the Baltimore City Community College Loop Road Improvements at the upcoming ABC Greater Baltimore Excellence in Construction Awards on October 10! 🏆✨ This multi-phased project involved the reconstruction of the campus's access road, which encircles BCCC, providing parking and access to all campus buildings. We took on the challenge of completing the final section of the loop road, previously unbuilt due to its steep terrain. Our team graded the hill, installed a massive concrete retaining wall with augured piles, and completed the new road, improving parking and access across the campus. One of the most significant challenges was unexpected ground conditions—rocks and boulders—requiring multiple redesigns of the foundation and extending the construction schedule. Through innovative problem-solving and close collaboration with BCCC and the Department of General Services, we adjusted the project phases and kept it moving forward. As a result, we minimized delays and even found cost-saving solutions like relining the deep storm pipe, saving money and six weeks of construction time! We’re proud of our team's resilience and creative approach to overcoming these challenges.
