The NV2A Central JV team is making strides on Segments 3, 5, and 9, creating safe, accessible pathways to connect pedestrians and cyclists while enhancing urban mobility for our community. We’re thrilled to announce the first microforests are now taking root on Segment 5, along US-1, using the innovative Miyawaki method. These lush, fast-growing ecosystems will boost biodiversity, improve air quality, and provide shaded green spaces for all to enjoy. Exciting progress at the South Dade Transit Operations Center! Construction is moving forward, with Building 2, featuring a cutting-edge precast solution, now taking shape alongside other key structures. This state-of-the-art facility, located on a 19.99-acre site, will support a fleet of 100 articulated battery-electric buses, driving sustainable transit in South Dade. With functional spaces like bus maintenance, operations, admin, a pedestrian bridge, and a two-level garage, the SD TOC will be a game-changer for the region.
