Just getting ready to start the Clean Energy Lunch & Learn event in Erie - the first of three being offered in the region. For this one, our keynote speaker is Drew Howard, Sr. EHS Engineer for Parker LORD sharing how he’s led his facility’s decarbonization efforts by partnering with PennTAP and others like US DOE Better Buildings, ISO, and the Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Program (CHP TAP). Other guest speakers today are Taylor Smith of PSNERGY, LLC and Heidi Shadeck of Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP).

Today was an awesome kick-off meeting for another Lean Together cohort! Over the next 8 months, participants from manufacturing companies across the region will discuss and apply the concepts of 2 second lean, tour area facilities, collaborate with peers, and help build/sustain a culture of continuous improvement at their companies. Special thanks to Sara Hanks, NWIRC board member and Senior Director - Project Management at Wabtec, for opening remarks. And, also thank you to special guest speaker, Shawn Gross, VP of Culture and Business Development at Viking Plastics!
