Welcome to Margaret’s Woods! In 2022, the late Margaret Ball donated this 140-acre parcel of fields and forest to the Finger Lakes Land Trust. Now, it’s conserved as part of Robert Treman State Park in Ithaca and open for public enjoyment, with a 1.4-mile trail system connecting to the Finger Lakes Trail. Margaret’s friend and caretaker of the woods Mike DeMunn said, "These woods are very special to me, and I put so much care into the health of the trees. Now I can rest easy that they will remain into old age.” Read more about this remarkable addition to one of our most popular parks: https://ow.ly/nril50TR9rW
