We're honored by this recognition of our new Hebron Oaks Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center! 🏆 We're proud to have this state-of-the-art facility where our dedicated staff help patients attain or maintain their highest level of well-being and return home strong and healthy. Thank you to Vogel Bros. Building Co., Pierce Engineers, and EUA for all their hard work on bringing this project to life!
We're proud to share that the Oakwood Village Hebron Oaks Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has won "Best New Development or Renovation: Health Care" at the InBusiness Commercial Design Awards. Located at the University Woods campus on Madison’s West Side, this 111,500 square foot facility offers a comprehensive range of amenities designed to enhance residents' living experiences. Amenities include a full-service chef’s kitchen and dining room for each wing, five in total, a bistro for casual dining, two salon and spas for personal care services, community room, library, serenity room, therapy gym for rehabilitation exercises, in-house pharmacy, and roof terraces. Green roofs and bio-retention pods were incorporated to effectively handle stormwater. The living suites feature separate living rooms and kitchenettes, oxygen hookups, and a spacious bathroom for ease of use. The skilled nursing and rehabilitation center includes a dedicated 12-bed hospice wing to provide compassionate care for those in need of end-of-life support. Additionally, 48 rooms have been specifically designed for short-term rehabilitation purposes, catering to individuals seeking recovery. Congratulations to the project team! Last week, we celebrated National Intern Day here at Oakwood! This year, Oakwood is proud to celebrate our first cohort of six summer interns. They have been working hard in our various departments: Human Resources, Preferred Services, Rehab, Sales & Marketing, and Social Work. We also celebrate our year-long Administrative Intern. And special thanks to the Oakwood Foundation for helping make this internship program possible.

Did you know that we have a 9-acre conservancy here at our University Woods campus? Residents enjoy walking our various trails daily and lead tours every Friday. They share their knowledge about the various plants and species living within as well as other fun nature facts! Another fun fact is that our residents have a committee dedicated to maintaining this beautiful nature preserve. You might see some turkeys around!
