Lots of good news. This evening the Orange County Asian American Bar Association (OCAABA) held their 30th Annual Installation Dinner. Congrats to UCI Law friend Anthony Wang (O'Melveny & Myers LLP) on the presidency and to Monica E. Glicken and Minyard | Morris, who received well-deserved awards. Lots of University of California, Irvine School of Law faculty, staff, and friends attending, including Vice Dean Trilby Robinson-Dorn, Associate Dean Michael Robinson-Dorn, Assistant Dean Khary Hornsby, KLC Director Grace Lee, and BOV member Amy Chen. All helped celebrate the achievements of 2Ls Semmie Lee and Annie Hong, MPA, who were honored with the Hon. Arthur Nakazato Memorial Scholarship and the OCAABA Outstanding Student Award. Congratulations Semmie and Annie! Many alums attending too, including Orange County Bar Association - CA president Christina Zabat-Fran and Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OCKABA) president Mimi Ahn, among many others. #zotzotzot

Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OCKABA) Foundation hosted its inaugural charity fundraiser this week! We were able to raise over $40,000, which will go to funding our pro bono clinics and scholarship programs. The Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OCKABA) Foundation's "Taste of Korea" was held on Tuesday, June 25th at Crowell & Moring in Irvine. What a fantastic and delightful event. Over 100 people joined the fun and games, raffle prizes, silent auction, wine and Soju tasting, karaoke, and casino games. So much to do in 3 hours! Kahana Feld Partners Mimi Ahn, Samuel Yu, Sharon Oh-Kubisch, and KF summer associates Raiden Huang and Yi-Jeong Allison Yoo joined in the fun and volunteered their time to make this an # outstanding event. #ockaba #teamwork

I had a wonderful time at last night's Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OCKABA) Foundation fundraiser. I enjoyed connecting with fellow colleagues including Kelsey Luu, Christina Zabat-Fran, Janani Rana, Benjamin Huh, Sharon Oh-Kubisch, Caroline Djang, and Mark Minyard.

Had an absolute blast at the OCKABA Foundation - Taste of Korea event last night! Made new friends over delicious food, casino games, karaoke. Thanks to everyone for the great memories and Ellie K. Vilendrer for a fun start to our friendship!

OCKABA and OCAABA had the privilege to support the Korean Prosecutors Association last night. It was the first time this event was held in OC at the Anaheim Marriott. I love the work this group is doing with expanding representation at the highest levels. So inspiring. I’ve never seen so many Korean judges, elected DAs and former federal prosecutors in one room. Public Law Center - Volunteers for Justice 2024 The Public Law Center (PLC) is a pro-bono law firm that provides access to justice for low-income residents of Orange County. Kahana Feld proudly sponsored this #upstanding event. Partners Sharon Oh-Kubisch, Mimi Ahn, and Julie Ritchie were in attendance celebrating this year's award recipients. $36,910 was raised to provide low-income Orange County community members with free legal services through our Justice For All Fund.
