As our summer internships come to a close, we want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible interns for their hard work and valuable contributions. They tackled exciting projects, learned new skills, and made a lasting impact on our team. While some of our interns are heading back to school to continue their academic journeys, others have successfully transitioned into full-time positions with us at Odin. Grant Jave, Project Engineer in our Gulf Coast region, reflected on his experience from his Summer 2024 internship: “My advice to future interns would be to jump in with both feet! Ask questions, take detailed notes, and reflect on your daily experiences to solidify your learning. I’m already referencing my internship notes as I head back to school and applying them to my coursework.” Team Odin is excited to see our interns continue their journeys and wishes them all the best as they pursue their academic and professional goals! #CareerGrowth #OdinInterns #MissionFirstPeopleAlways #engineeringinternship #internship #intern #joinourteam #wearehiring

We’re constructing four hydraulic barriers made of slag cement-cement-bentonite (SCCB) slurry to create a robust defense against potential breaches. The Dry Creek Ecosystem Restoration Phase II Project team is back! This effort, led collaboratively by the US Army Corps of Engineers San Francisco District and Sonoma Water, aims to restore over six miles of stream and floodplain habitat. Phase II of this project represents the second of three planned construction phases designed to achieve approximately 2.6 miles (47 acres) of stream and floodplain restoration between 2021 and 2024. The scope of Dry Creek Phase II includes the excavation of four lateral channel connections to Dry Creek and the installation of 127 tree habitat channel structures. In 2023, ROD Construction engaged Odin to begin the excavation of Lateral Channel 4C. Now in the 2024 construction season, the team will continue by completing the excavation of Lateral Channels 4C, 2A Left, 2A Right, and 2B, as well as installing the remaining 101 tree structures. #TeamOdin #HabitatRestoration
