Odyssey's Stamford Legal Department recently volunteered at the Children's Learning Centers of Fairfield County to support their annual backpack giveaway, aimed at providing kindergarten children with backpacks filled with supplies ahead of the upcoming school year. We continued our support for Americares where we recently helped put together over 1,250 emergency kits that will be used by those affected by natural disasters. #volunteer #volunteering
Thank you to volunteers from Odyssey Group in #Stamford who packed 1,250 emergency kits for disaster survivors at #Americares global headquarters in preparation for an active hurricane season. The kits contain essential hygiene items, including soap, shampoo and toothpaste, and are distributed to families displaced by hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, wildfires and other emergencies worldwide. These emergency kits—of which Americares delivers about 30,000 annually—are among the most frequently needed items in the aftermath of emergencies that force survivors from their homes.
