‘Ohana Health Plan is excited to announce the Patsy T. Mink Leadership Alliance has named Kari Shintaku to its ninth cohort. The program is the only one in Hawaii designed for emerging women leaders who are committed to personal growth, professional impact, and community change. This program further develops management and leadership skills to increase the representation of women executives in Hawaii. The program, named in honor of the late Patsy T. Mink, who was both the first Asian-American woman and the first woman from Hawaii to serve in the U.S. Congress. She was renowned for her commitment to proactive leadership and women’s advocacy. Congratulations, Kari!

‘Ohana Health Plan is partnering with Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawaii to improve access to maternal and child health. We threw a baby shower for our prenatal and recently postpartum members to provide education and resources. Attendees also received goodies from us including a Pack ‘n Play, free clothes, baby items, and more. One lucky mom won our grand prize: A stroller and car seat set! A big ‘Mahalo!’ to HMHB for providing much-needed services to Hawaii’s families.
