To finish Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we'd like to share the story of a breast cancer patient who fought the disease and ended up on the other side. The journey of battling breast cancer is never easy, but for Amy Han, it was a path paved with resilience, support, and advanced medical care. Amy's story is a testament to the importance of early detection and the compassionate care provided by OHC, which played a pivotal role in her recovery and outlook on life. https://lnkd.in/gKndDRSE #BreastCancerAwareness #BreastCancerSurvivor #EarlyDetection #CancerJourney #BreastCancerSupport #Survivorship #Hope

We were honored to host Ohio State Representative Tim Barhorst, Vice Chair of the House Insurance Committee, at our OHC Eastgate location. Representative Barhorst engaged in a substantive discussion with our esteemed medical oncologist and hematologist, David Drosick, MD, regarding the critical issue of white-bagging. White-bagging refers to the practice where insurance companies mandate that medications be dispensed by third-party pharmacies and shipped to healthcare providers, rather than allowing providers to source them directly. This practice can lead to delays in treatment and potentially compromise the quality of patient care. Dr. Drosick articulated the risks associated with white-bagging and emphasized that policies endorsing this practice could adversely affect patient care and delay essential treatments. At OHC, we are committed to delivering holistic patient care and advocating for our patients' rights. We firmly believe that healthcare decisions should prioritize patient well-being and stand against policies that threaten this principle. We extend our gratitude to Representative Barhorst for his dedication to understanding and addressing these critical healthcare issues. Together, we can work towards ensuring that patients receive the timely and effective care they deserve. #HealthcareAdvocacy #OhioHouseBill156 #WhiteBagging #TimBarhorst #HolisticCare #PatientsFirst #HealthcareReform
