¡VIVA! Today marks the beginning of #HispanicHeritageMonth! 🎉 ✨#HispanicHeritageMonth was established to honor the achievements, diverse cultures, and contributions of Hispanic Americans. It started as a week in 1968 under President Lyndon B. Johnson and was expanded to a 30-day period in 1988 by President Ronald Reagan. ✨#HispanicHeritageMonth begins on September 15th to align with the Independence Day celebrations of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September 18, respectively. Also, Día de la Raza on October 12 falls within this 30-day celebration.
