In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, our #ReadOKC On the Go! Book Bus joined the 19th annual Fiestas de las Américas Parade and Street Festival in Capitol Hill, and distributed 496 books! 🚌 Throughout the day, children got to board the bus to select brand-new books, while students and families delighted in finding stories written in their native language, covering topics that sparked their curiosity and passion. Events like these remind us of the power of literacy to connect cultures and communities—together, we can continue fostering a love for reading that transcends generations. #HispanicHeritageMonth 📚Learn more about ReadOKC and how you can get involved:

Missing just two days a month of school is missing too much school and can lead to students falling behind! All absences, excused and unexcused, mean lost time in the classroom and opportunities to learn. We encourage families to practice good school attendance as much as possible! Let’s work together to ensure we have no empty seats in our classrooms! #noemptyseats
