Yesterday I visited Utah State University for the first time since I graduated in 2016 and taught a golf clinic to students with Old Main Ventures. This program didn't exist when I was at USU, but I couldn't be more impressed with what Nicholas Singleton and crew have built up there and what they are teaching these students. Together, we worked on their golf swings because, let's admit, the better you are at golf, the more invites you get to play. And the more you play, the more opportunity you're able to unlock. I shared my journey with them and how golf is the perfect business development and relationship building tool. We talked about how they can use golf for everything from finding their first jobs to closing and vetting deals that come through the Venture Studio they are working in. Huge thanks to Leonardo Mancilla, Jason Broadbent, Zara Staheli, Ethan Davis, and Akosia Robinson for taking time to come learn and grow!

We had an amazing evening with our student analysts at Reference Group connecting, reflecting, and exploring new perspectives on Utah's tech scene and future vision.
