Old Salem is looking for a sales contractor for the next few months! Job Title: 1099 Sales Contractor Location: Old Salem Museums and Gardens, Winston-Salem, NC Contract Duration: Six-Month Contract Hours: 32 hours per month Compensation: $1,000 per month Position Overview: Old Salem Museums and Gardens is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Contractor to join our team on a six-month contract. The primary responsibility of this role is to boost sales for group tours, events, and school field trips. This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for history and culture and enjoys working in a dynamic environment. The Sales Contractor will be expected to work on-site to develop and execute sales strategies, nurture client relationships, and achieve sales targets. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement sales strategies to increase group tour sales, event sales, and school field trip bookings. - Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including outreach to schools, organizations, and event planners. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential clients through regular communication, site visits, and follow-ups. - Collaborate with the Marketing and Events teams to create and distribute promotional materials that support sales initiatives. - Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve results. - Attend relevant events and networking opportunities to promote Old Salem Museums and Gardens as a premier destination for tours and events. - Ensure that all sales activities are aligned with the mission and goals of Old Salem Museums and Gardens. - Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM tools. Qualifications: - Proven experience in sales, preferably in the tourism, events, or education sectors. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clients. - Ability to work independently and take initiative in developing and executing sales strategies. - Familiarity with CRM tools and the ability to manage client data effectively. Knowledge of the local market and potential client base is a plus. - Must be available to work on-site at Old Salem Museums and Gardens. Compensation: - The position offers a monthly stipend of $1,000 for 32 hours of work per month. - This is a 1099 contract position, and no benefits will be provided.
