We've all encountered both in our careers Those who command from above and those who lead from within. The impact they leave is profound, but for very different reasons. 👑 The Boss: 1. Fosters fear and competition. 2. Commands without guidance. 3. Expects respect without earning it. 4. Gloats over personal achievements. 5. Drives high turnover due to a toxic environment. 🌟 The Leader: 1. Builds a positive, collaborative culture. 2. Earns respect through actions and empathy. 3. Guides with consistent support and mentorship. 4. Celebrates team successes and prioritizes growth. 5. Inspires loyalty, reduces turnover, and creates lasting impact. A boss might get things done today, but a leader builds a legacy for tomorrow. As John Maxwell wisely said, "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way." Be the leader who lifts others up. Your people and your company depend on it. ♻️ Repost to help others become better leaders. P.S. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀—𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲. 88% of people believe a strong company culture is key to business success. And I’m one of them. Most job vacancies mention these as work perks: ↳ Fair salary ↳ Paid vacation ↳ Remote work options ↳ Flexible working hours ↳ Team building activities ↳ Quality work equipment ↳ Office tea, coffee, and snacks ↳ A non-toxic work environment ↳ Professional growth opportunities But these are just the basics. To truly thrive, companies and leaders must go beyond: ➟ Mentorship and guidance for professional growth. ➟ Resources to prevent burnout and manage stress. ➟ Support for physical and mental health to ensure well-being. ➟ Team-building activities that foster real connections and trust. ➟ Training that explores new skills, not just deepens existing ones. ➟ Compensation that reflects true contributions, not just market rates. The more a company invests in its employees, the greater the return in productivity and loyalty. ♻️ Share if you agree! 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 The best leaders aren't just remembered for their achievements—they're remembered for their kindness. Many leaders miss this mark by not prioritizing the well-being of their team. It's not complicated: it's about showing genuine care. Gallup reports that only 45% of employees strongly feel that their employer cares about their well-being. This isn't just a statistic; it's a wake-up call. 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀: ↳ Listen to understand ↳ Keep your doors open ↳ Eliminate the fear of speaking up ↳ Make saying 'thank you' the default ↳ Provide feedback without judgment ↳ Offer support during challenging times ↳ Give every member a chance to be heard ↳ Invite constructive criticism from the team ↳ Acknowledge and value diverse perspectives ↳ Facilitate growth through ownership and trust ↳ Recognize each member's contribution publicly Become the leader who makes everyone feel like they belong. As Maya Angelou once said: “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But they will never forget how you made them feel.” 𝗚𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗼’𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆? 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝘆 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 I stopped asking, “What’s the culture like?” in interviews. The answers were often vague and unhelpful. Instead, I now ask these insightful questions: 1. What do new employees typically find surprising after they start? 2. Can you share a recent example of how you supported an employee's personal or professional growth? 3. How does the company handle and implement feedback from employees? 4. How are successes and milestones celebrated within the company? 5. How does the company encourage employees to bring their unique perspectives and experiences to the workplace? 6. How does the company ensure continuous learning and development for its employees? 7. What strategies does the company employ to ensure open and transparent communication at all levels? 8. Could you share an instance where the company's core values directly influenced a business decision? 9. How has the company changed since you joined? 10. What resources or books would you recommend to help me have a shared understanding with the people who work here? 💬 These questions reveal a lot more about a company's true culture and values. If you're job hunting or just curious about your workplace, consider asking these! ♻️ Reshare to help others discover a great work culture! 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. The best "new hire" is already at your company. Most jobs can be taught. Give your employees a chance. Stop searching for the "perfect" hire. Start developing and promoting from within your own company. Promote the right attitude instead of the "perfect" resume. Great managers create opportunities for people to develop and grow. 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲? ♻️ Repost to share this message with others. P.S. Have you seen successful internal promotions at your company?
