A special night hosting independent curator Fatoş Üstek for our Talks lecture series in collaboration with Locust Projects. Üstek grounded her lecture in an overview of her experience as a curator, exploring the values and framework she brings to her curatorial approach. She ended the night speaking about her most recent book, “The Art Institution of Tomorrow: Reinventing the Model,” on how arts institutions need to be better equipped to deal with the social, economic and environmental change we are living through to maintain their relevance and influence. Stay tuned for future Locust Projects + Oolite Arts #TalksMiami 📸 World Red Eye

Congrats to Oolite Alum Rose Marie Cromwell on the opening of her first museum solo exhibition, “A Geological Survey”, at ICA Miami! The exhibition resulted from a studio visit by Gean Moreno, ICA’s director of the Knight Foundation Art + Research Center, while Cromwell was a resident at Oolite Arts. The exhibition, “Rose Marie Cromwell: A Geological Survey,” and curated by Moreno and Amanda Morgan, features her most recent work and her own interpretation of the tradition of landscape photography. Our Collective Circle community loved seeing it on a recent #OoliteOuting. See it through Oct. 27 at ICA Miami. 📷 by @throughtheshutter
