To promote upward social mobility in our community and to provide our student athletes with mentors and leaders they can truly relate, we put a focus on hiring and training junior coaches who are Open Goal Project alumni. This initiative is part of our Empowerment Cycle, where our former participants are coached to take on leadership roles, further enhancing their personal development and fostering a sense of community within our program. This Fall, Open Goal Project alumni Jeison and Juliana (pictured below) are leading our 2014 DCFC Boys team, providing a unique platform for them to grow as coaches and for our student athletes to be coached by the next generation of community leaders who have shared lived experiences. Even the field, change the game ✨✨✨

We're thrilled to be partnering with FICO and the U.S. Soccer Foundation this weekend to bring FICO’s Score a Better Future Fundamentals financial literacy workshops to our high school and middle school students athletes before they head to Audi Field to attend the international friendly between Chelsea Football Club's Women's squad and Arsenal F.C!

Change is constant. Class is permanent. Since launching in 2015, on.us.tees has been a key collaborator on our journey for equity, justice, and social change through the beautiful game in our communities. To bring the Open Goal Project's brand identity full circle, we’ve updated our on.us.tees L⚽️VE logo to integrate it seamlessly with our new style. It’s all about the L⚽️VE. 💜
