Very well done to our pupils and teachers!
Southfield School students have been celebrating their GCSE results. Southfield School is proud to recognise the hard work and perseverance of our Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE and vocational results. In the context of national standards returning to those seen in 2019 we are exceptionally proud of the achievements of all our students which have paved the way for them to pursue further studies, apprenticeships, and other future endeavours. Headteacher, Scott Nevett, remarked; “We are extremely proud of this year group’s achievements, given the many challenges they have faced during their secondary school career. Both students and staff at the school have worked incredibly hard to achieve the successes we have seen today and we would like to thank parents/carers for their invaluable support throughout. We were delighted to welcome back the majority of our students into our sixth form and wish those moving onto a new destination all the best for the future.” Southfield School’s outstanding sixth form continues to offer an excellent environment for learning, with state-of-the-art facilities including a café, lecture theatre, and various social and study spaces. There are still spaces available, and we encourage interested external students to contact us at admissions@southfieldsch.co.uk

Great work from our Southfield team. Well done!
Southfield School Celebrates Outstanding A Level and Vocational Qualification Results in 2024 Southfield School wants to congratulate the 2024 leavers on their excellent and hard-fought set of A Level and vocational results, which come on the back of a great deal of hard work and dedication from students and staff, alongside the invaluable support and encouragement from parents/carers. Our students have shown remarkable resilience and adaptability during this crucial stage of their school career. We are thrilled that the grades our students have achieved have enabled the overwhelming majority to progress to their first choice of post-18 destinations, including university, apprenticeships and employment. We are particularly proud that several of our students have attained the highest grades at A Level and will be pursuing their chosen subjects, notably in law and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), at some of the leading universities in the country and even as far as the USA. Equally, we celebrate those students who have exceeded their expectations and are now moving on to their chosen next steps. Headteacher, Scott Nevett, commented; "Our students and staff have worked tirelessly over the past two years, enabling this cohort to achieve a great set of results and access to their chosen destinations. This hard work, determination and positive approach to learning are deserving of celebration and reflect our ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED judgement for our sixth form. We wish all of our students every success as they embark on new challenges and look forward to hearing of their future endeavours."

An excellent initiative with proven positive results.
157 Southfield School, Kettering Year 11s and 30 staff are now on their way to Whitemoor Lakes Activity & Training Centre in Staffordshire for our annual 4 day revision/activity weekend. This will be the ninth year that we have run this activity and each year, the majority of our students claim that this was one of the most successful activities in boosting their GCSE results in the core subjects. Students also comment on how much fun they had and the lasting memories they created whilst there. As part of our new Academy Trust and our ongoing collaboration with other schools, Kingsthorpe College and Moulton School & Science College will also be sending some of their students on the trip. Have a good time everyone and #ReachYourFullPotential

Children's Mental Health Week: 5th -11th February 2024 In celebration of Children's Mental Health Week 2024, the Healthy Schools Services for North and West Northamptonshire Councils have organised for all children and young people, KS2 and above, to receive a Comfort Card. These cards were produced with the support of the Talk Out Loud participation group. The aim of the card is to remind everyone that 'My Voice Matters' and there are people and places they can turn to, to get help. The front of the card has a QR code, which links them to the CAMHS website, where children and young people can find early intervention support through apps, websites, resources and services. On the back, there are some key helplines where they can access support in a crisis. https://lnkd.in/g3zTeQx Students will be receiving these during form time this week.
