Since 1971, Women’s Equality Day has been celebrated annually on August 26. The celebration falls on the anniversary of the certification of the 19th Amendment which granted women the right to vote. Director of Marketing Development and Engagement for the Food Industry Technician Development Program
FPSA - Food Production Solutions Association’s FIT Program traveled to West Chicago for training at our partner’s, OSI Group, production facility. This plant is highly automated and has a variety of products which make it an excellent learning environment for our students. Not only did the students meet and learn from the management team but they also were able to meet a former FIT Student, now maintenance technician for OSI to learn about his experience transitioning from the lab to the workplace. Thank you Julie Yeary Sylvester and Jeff Felos for not only providing training but also so many fantastic career opportunities for our students.
