"You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink." is followed up by; "We are taking the horses head, sticking it in the Trough and keeping it there until they either drink or drown." One of the better Podcasts we've done in a while. Covered whether or not to recruit the next generation of hunters, as well as discussed the largest ever communication effort reaching millions of the general population to inform them how wildlife conservation is funded. Take a look at what Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation Executive Director, Jim Curcuruto and Johnny Mack , host of Soul Seekers Podcast, are up to at: https://lnkd.in/eENkcEwD

To support our conservation, recruitment and communication programs, Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation conducts a lot of research that provides valuable insights into many topics. We'll be presenting preliminary findings from a current research project, "Welcome New Target Shooters" at the National Rifle Association Range Development Conference July 31 - August 1, in Denver, CO. https://lnkd.in/eFF_3rbA All of our research can be found for free at www.OutdoorStewards.org

This video is a good reminder to invite someone new to “Come With” you when you head out fishing.
New YouTube video out on my monumental bass fishing trip during POMA HQ Annual Meeting from this past May. With Kyle Austin & Jim Curcuruto from Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation. If you recall, I caught my PB bass EVER. I hope you enjoy this memory as much as I did. :) https://lnkd.in/ei5_HYVw

Excited to present Alabama Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) with Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation's "State Agency Conservation Partner of the Year" award. ADCNR Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries is truly leading the way educating folks on how conservation is funded, as well as, recruiting the next generation of HATS ™ (Hunters, Anglers, Trappers and Shooters). Our sincere thanks goes to Chuck Sykes, Billy Pope and all the ADCNR staff for all their hard work and support. https://lnkd.in/ef7GvvMk

As part of our "Connecting with Conservation" video series, Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation partnered with dozens of hunting and fishing manufacturers and state fish and wildlife agencies to inform and thank America's 60+ million active HATS ™ (Hunters, Anglers, Trappers & Shooters) for being primary funders of conservation. The annual $3.6 billion provided by HATS from hunting and fishing license purchases along with purchases of excised taxed products like; firearms, ammunition, bows, arrows, rods, reels, lures and motor boat fuel make up the majority of funding for states fish and wildlife agencies. Without HATS support, these agencies would not be able to do all the great conservation work they do. To all my fellow HATS out there - Thank you!
