Our Malaysia team donated hospital beds and rescue items to a non-profit charity organization, Uncle Kentang. A donation presentation ceremony was hosted by Uncle Kentang. Uncle Kantang has impressed by their social work, the work they are doing is meaningful to the community and we look forward to opportunities to work with them in the future.

In the complex realm of corporate design commitments, film and flexible plastic packaging poses significant challenges for circular redesign. Issues include shelf-life constraints, production equipment runability, and confusion about circularity amid evolving technologies. Non-circular designs contaminate recycling streams, increasing the risk of litter and environmental harm. As film and flexible plastic packaging constitutes nearly half of all plastic packaging placed on the market today, achieving circularity is vital for addressing the plastics waste crisis. In response to these challenges, the US Plastics Pact and Canada Plastics Pact are co-hosting a year-long series of informational webinars and technical workshops (i.e., the Film & Flexible Packaging Workshop Series), to help our partners/members better understand the design guidelines for flexible packaging and films relevant in North America, identify current innovation pathways for flexibles and films across different plastic packaging formats, and solve technical issues and challenges for converting to more mono-material flexibles and films. The first two sessions of the Film & Flexible Packaging Workshop Series are open to the public. Session Two: Policy Landscape for Film & Flexible Plastic Packaging Date: April 18, 2024 Time: 11am - 12:30 pm EST Registration Link: https://lnkd.in/gGWQ7zKQ Session Two is intended for packaging design, procurement, and sustainability professionals and will cover the following topics: - Implications for film & flexible packaging from existing EPR laws in the U.S. and Canada (emphasis on Quebec, California, and Colorado); - Emerging EPR legislation that could impact film & flexible packaging; - EPR impact to design decisions; - Collection and end market development needs for film & flexible plastic packaging We hope to see you there: https://lnkd.in/gGWQ7zKQ

How do your customers recycle their mailers? Do they toss them in the curbside bin or take them to the local store drop-off location? Do you know how to explain the difference between these two options and why it matters? If not, don’t worry, we've got you covered.
