About us
In 1953 in Sacramento, CA, Fred Anderson opened the doors to his fledgling company, Anderson Lumber. From those modest beginnings, Pacific Coast Building Products (PCBP) was born. Over the ensuing years Fred, and later, Dave Lucchetti, the company’s president since 1978, purchased and founded building product-related businesses. By the time of Fred’s death in 1997, the company had expanded into other cities and states; today PCBP is a holding company for its wholly-owned subsidiaries that operate 80-plus locations that can be found in Hawaii to the west, Oklahoma to the east, Canada to the north and all points in between. None of this growth and expansion would have been possible without the scores of talented employees, along with our valued customers and partners who have been with PCBP every step of the way. PCBP is deeply grateful for their confidence and commitment to our organization, over the past 60 years and into the future.

CIEF Design Build Competition 2024 Pacific Coast Building Products x Alcal Specialty Contracting, Inc The 39th Consecutive Year for the Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF) Design Build Competition at Cosumnes River College, founded in 1986, promotes career awareness of the construction industry among high school students. It is an effort to recognize student achievement and affords the construction industry and opportunity to support schools, students, and career technical educational programs. The competition provides an opportunity for high school students to gain firsthand knowledge of the construction industry and have hands-on experience in the construction process. Anderson Lumber, Pacific Coast Supply, LLC, and PABCO Roofing Products played an integral part in the success of this year’s event. The devotion and hard work is amazing to see when individuals work together to create a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Reflecting on the event’s achievements, let us celebrate the bonds we’ve formed and the focus on collaborative relationships. Our collective effort serves as a reminder of what we can accomplish when united behind a common purpose. The Eisley – 736 Units | 21 Buildings 1567 Bartlett Lane Sacramento, CA #ProjectAppreciationFriday PABCO® Gypsum had the opportunity to collaborate with Advantage Drywall for the Eisley project in Sacramento. Advantage focuses on establishing relationships with partner companies and functioning as a team. From the general contractors they work with the suppliers and manufacturers of the materials, performing as one congruent unit. Their commitment to high quality and performance on their projects is why they choose to partner with PABCO Gypsum. An Estimator from Advantage Drywall, David Kamminga mentioned: “I learned early in my career that PABCO is the best drywall. All of our guys love it especially because of its consistency from stack to stack.” Products used on the Eisley consisted of PABCO Flame Curb Type C & Type X, composed of a fire-resistant gypsum core surfaced with 100% recycled paper bonded to the proprietary core.
