Pacific Gas and Electric Company Principal Jeff Aldal is one of 16.2 million veterans in the United States. Jeffrey served as a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force during Operation Desert Storm in the 1990s, but didn’t go to the Middle East due to tearing an ACL in his right knee before the war started. After leaving the service, he needed five operations on that knee. The last one caused him to spend two months in bed and he lost his job. Jeffrey is proud to be a #veteran and won’t hesitate to promote the value of veterans in the #workforce. “We are here. We are ready to work,” he says. Read his story: https://lnkd.in/gUaQHKQm

As part of PG&E’s month-long preparations for Election Day, and in response to an incoming severe wind event, approximately 3,100 PG&E coworkers are currently positioned in the field, our emergency operations centers and other locations throughout our service area to respond to potential outages. The National Weather Service, PG&E meteorologists and other weather experts have forecasted a severe wind event that will enter parts of the service area late Tuesday through Thursday morning, creating significant fire risk. PG&E has notified 22,000 customers that their power might be shut off for safety. There are 7,000 polling locations in PG&E’s service area and 48 tabulation centers. No tabulation centers are currently within the scope of the PSPS. Six polling locations are in scope for a potential PSPS, and PG&E has supplied temporary generation for each of these polling locations to ensure that votes can be cast. https://lnkd.in/gShrKz8b
