If you’re a federal worker facing job uncertainty, Pennsylvania has opened its doors to new opportunities. 💼 Thanks to a new Executive Order from Governor Josh Shapiro, federal government experience will be treated as equivalent to Commonwealth work experience for certain critical vacancies. This makes it easier for former federal employees to secure positions in critical fields in PA state government like nursing, engineering, corrections, and more. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/euuCZ3gR

The department prepares job seekers for the global workforce through employment and job training services for adult, youth, older workers, and dislocated workers. In addition, L&I enforces various laws and safety standards in the workplace and administers the commonwealth's programs for community service by young Pennsylvanians. L&I also promotes economic development and an improved business climate through a variety of initiatives and programs to help Pennsylvania's workforce remain world-class and globally competitive.

L&I Secretary Nancy A. Walker spent the day in Philly with Rose’s Girls, a pre-apprentice program empowering and creating real opportunities for young women to succeed in the construction and trades industry.
