  • Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute Awarded on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2024 [San Diego, California] – Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute has been awarded on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2024. This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The award list was announced on August 21st, 2024, and can be viewed on Newsweek’s website. The America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2024 ranking awards the leading physical rehabilitation facilities in the U.S. that were identified according to the definition of Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs) by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). IRFs are free-standing rehabilitation hospitals and rehabilitation units in acute care hospitals. The 25 states with the most facilities according to the CMS were ranked individually. The facilities from the remaining states were grouped into 4 regions: Northeast, Midwest, West, and South. The list is based on four data pillars: ·        Quality Metric: Data for IRFs published by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) ·        National Online Survey: An online survey among experts with knowledge of physical rehabilitation centers (physicians, physiotherapists, doctors, clinic managers, and other health care professionals) was conducted in cooperation with Newsweek. ·        Accreditation: Data on physical rehabilitation centers provided by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center (MSKTC). ·        Google Reviews: Reviews from Google were included as a proxy for patient satisfaction. Based on the study results, Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute is honored to be recognized on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2024. “Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute is proud to be recognized on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2024,” said Jennifer Whitney, chief executive officer of Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute. “This award evidences the industry-leading care our team of rehabilitation professionals deliver every day at Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute.
