“Create a refreshed, kinder, gentler version of the organization” was the charge we were given by The Kronkosky Charitable Foundation (KCF). KCF leadership felt it was time to communicate more clearly their mission “to produce profound good” and their position as thought leader and partner that strengthens, champions, and amplifies the work of the nonprofit community. Our concept takes its cue from the foundation’s mission “to produce profound good” which we placed front and center as the main positioning line, “The Foundation for Profound Good.” We created the Happy K logo as a combination of “profound” (exclamation point) and “good” (heart). A subtext running through the brand is that the work of uplifting communities can be difficult and often imperfect, but with collaboration and persistence, profound good is achievable.
