In Parkinson's disease, psychosis can vary from severe confusion (disordered thinking) to seeing things that aren’t there (hallucinations) to believing things that are not true (delusions). Medication, dementia and delirium are the three main contributors to the development of psychosis in Parkinson’s disease. Determining the cause can be difficult because these conditions can overlap and produce similar symptoms. Once a probable cause is determined, treatment can begin. Grateful for the time this morning with Parkinson's Foundation Georgia. It was great to hear Patrick Exley speak about his experience with PD. Here’s what I learned: - Over 20,000 people live with Parkinson’s in Georgia - Someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s every 6 minutes - PD is the second most common neurodegenaritve disease (after Alzheimer’s) It was great to meet you, Adadren Skrine! Thanks for inviting me Calle Wallace, M.S.! Ps - Parkinson's Foundation is a 4⭐️ Charity Navigator charity. So if you have a heart for helping people you’re money goes pretty far with PF :)

Senior Writer at Office of the Indiana Attorney General; believer; husband; father; person with young-onset Parkinson’s; thankful human.
The “Parkinson’s community” is populated by a lot of fellow travelers and allies who care deeply about one another and the mission of enabling folks to live well with Parkinson’s. That mission involves maximizing awareness of current medicines, therapies and best practices — and it involves funding research toward finding new medicines, therapies and an eventual cure. Today I got to meet Gabrielle Perruzzi and Allison Liefer, staff members for the Parkinson’s Foundation - Midwest, as they prepare for the Moving Day fundraising event next month at Conner Prairie. As one person living with Parkinson’s, I invite you to please check out this link: https://buff.ly/3SeE4Ci Allison Liefer Gabrielle Perruzzi, MSW Parkinson's Foundation

A big thank you to the FORE Parkinson's Golf Tournament and the amazing FISCH 4 Parkinson's team for organizing such a fantastic day on the course! 🏌️♂️⛳️ With 144 golfers coming together in Elk Grove, California, it was a day full of fun contests, great sponsors, and a delicious lunch—all in support of the Parkinson's Foundation. Lisa, one of the event organizers, summed it up perfectly: "The combination of great golf, engaging fundraising activities, and the love and support for the Parkinson's community created a memorable day... We are thrilled to share that with everyone's incredible support, we are able to donate $26,671 in honor of Steve Fischlin and Mary Beth Arjil." We're so grateful to everyone who joined in and helped make this day so special! 🎉 Together, we’re making a real difference for those affected by Parkinson's. Love golf? You can organize your own day on the green to raise awareness and support for Parkinson's! Email us at champions@parkinson.org to learn more, and let’s keep driving for a cure! 🩵
