Happy anniversary to Post Rock Wind! Our Post Rock Wind team is a great example of the pride we take in environmental stewardship, committing to supporting the health of the Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area. Cheyenne Bottoms is one of the most important waterfowl migration stop over locations in the United States -including the iconic Whooping Crane - but it’s facing threats from invasive species. The Post Rock Wind team committed funds to eradicate phragmites, a common weed that chokes out native vegetation and disrupts wildlife patterns. Their support enabled the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism to improve 733 acres of wildlife habitat through the aerial application of herbicide at levels safe for wetland areas. https://lnkd.in/gMu2bSQc #PatternEnergy #PatternPeople #PatternAnniversary #PostRockWind #Sustainability

We’re proud to share that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has selected Southern Spirit for the Transmission Facilitation Program, a revolving fund program which aims to support projects that enhance grid reliability, promote energy security, and create economic opportunities across the country. Southern Spirit is set to connect Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) and Southeastern U.S. transmission grids, establishing a valuable connection to diverse energy resources and strengthening grid reliability during extreme weather events, all while providing low-cost energy to consumers. Thank you to our Southern Spirit team for working tirelessly to bring this critical piece of infrastructure to fruition! https://lnkd.in/enH6APhe #PatternEnergy #SouthernSpirit #Transmission #CleanEnergy #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability

Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation recognizes the tragic history and ongoing traumatic effects of the residential school system. At Pattern, we recognize the rights of Indigenous Communities and strive to build relationships on a foundation of understanding, respect, and partnership. Today is a great opportunity to learn more about this history and about First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation has resources available for further education and opportunities to assist with the path toward reconciliation. nctr.ca #NDTR #EveryChildMatters #Indigenous

🌍📄 Big News! Our PEC Whitepaper is Now Published! 📄🌍 We're excited to announce the official release of the Power Emissions Certificate (PEC) Whitepaper, marking a major step forward in the evolution of Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs) like RECs and GOs. In collaboration with the industry leaders of the PEC Alliance we outline how PECs enhance traditional EACs, providing greater transparency and accuracy by factoring in carbon impact, timing, and location of energy generation. This revolutionary approach is designed to help organizations maximize their environmental impact and meet ambitious sustainability goals. 🌟 What’s Inside: 1. The limitations of traditional EACs 2. How PECs are issued and used 3. Real-world case studies 4. Future developments in the PEC Registry We're looking for your feedback and collaboration to refine this methodology. Join the PEC Alliance and be part of the future of clean energy! Special thanks to the following for their contributions to this work: Adam Reeve of REsurety, Inc., Neil Fisher of The NorthBridge Group, Chad Reed of HASI, Rama Zakaria, Henry Richardson of WattTime.org, Allison Hannon Holly of Pattern Energy Group, Daniel Howard of Quantum Energy, Inc., PhD, Casey R. Martinez of Clean Incentive, Garrett Morrow of Clean Incentive, Shalini Majumdar of ENGIE Impact, and members of the Emissions First Partnership. 📝 Download the whitepaper and share your feedback: https://lnkd.in/gM27U2BU #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #CarbonImpact #PECs #EnergyProcurement #ClimateAction #RenewableEnergy
