We are thrilled to be partnering with Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) on this effort. Any delay in the schedule is always unfortunate, but we see this as an investment to enable a truly transformative payoff: a fast, repeatable, and transparent process that all interconnection stakeholders will ultimately benefit from. Let's move some projects through the queue!
MISO said its 123-GW collection of projects in the 2023 queue cycle will be subject to another delay into early 2025 as it pauses to see if a tech startup can help it better scale interconnection studies. See Full Story: https://ow.ly/arwK50SY5Gl Writer: Amanda Durish Cook

Thanks, The Westly Group, for including Pearl Street in its analysis on Medium about the potential for advanced automation technologies for the power grid. According to their analysis and market map, "There is an emerging category of planning and modeling tools that help utilities, grid operators, and project developers make better-informed, risk-adjusted decisions faster." This area is exactly where SUGAR™ and Interconnect™ converge to tackle the interconnection backlog from multiple angles. SUGAR™ can be deployed at transmission providers to automate interconnection study processes and has already modeled more than 180+ GW of the nation's backlog. On the developer side, Interconnect™ automates prospecting and system impact studies end-to-end, helping stakeholders gain more risk certainty in hours (vs. the typical weeks-to-months). Reach out to us now to learn more about how our technology can accelerate renewables deployment and enhance grid planning! https://lnkd.in/e6jsf23j https://lnkd.in/gVmx5qpd

It's been an eventful year for interconnection-related policy rulings. Most recently, each ISO submitted their FERC Orders 2023 and 2023-A compliance filings, and we developed a comprehensive cheat sheet for your policy toolkit. Let us know if you have any questions and we hope it will be useful in navigating the shifting interconnection landscape! https://lnkd.in/exW5dFhV
