PEHT is a nonprofit that walks alongside survivors of trafficking. Providing housing & employment in a social enterprise
About us
PEHT was envisioned by a passionate group of women and men in New York and Connecticut who became aware of the atrocities of forced labor and sex trafficking, both abroad and in their own backyard. They sought a way to offer recovery, stability and economic freedom to those seeking a way out of a life of bondage through a long term residential recovery program and dynamic social enterprise.

🌟 Last week, PEHT Executive Director Jamie Manirakiza and our team partnered with Fairfield University to provide training to all of their nursing students on how to identify and respond to human trafficking. As the future of healthcare, these students are gaining critical skills to recognize and support patients affected by trafficking. Together, we’re building a safer, more compassionate future. A big thank you to Fairfield University for this valuable opportunity to collaborate and educate. Through partnerships like this, we’re making strides toward ending human trafficking. #EndTrafficking #HealthcareHeroes #PEHT #NursingForChange
