Currently, our owner is deployed with the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) assigned to the DMORT Team in Asheville North Carolina. NDMS has several teams: - Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) which is made up of medical responders providing medical care in support to the hospital systems. - Veterinary Medical Assistance Team (VMAT) which are veterinarian specialists taking care of domestic animals - Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT) which is made up of medical and forensic specialists. DMORT is supporting the State Medical Examiners' work. Hundreds of support personnel help make the above teams be successful. These portable shelters serve as Field Hospitals, Morgues, and sleeping accommodations for the team members. While we wish he was home, we know there is a greater need to help those victims in North Carolina. We all got your back at home.
