Honestly? It's 'cause we often find ourselves in a situation where we don't have all the information. 🤷♀️ The thing is, clients usually give us only a general overview of the position, and we as recruiters aren't experts in every technology there is. (If we were, we'd probably be doing the work we're hiring for ourselves. 😅) Our job is, essentially, to connect you with the best opportunity, score you a higher salary, and make sure you get that career progression you've been chasing for a while. But the technical pieces of the puzzle are something you'll often get only during the second interview, when you meet your future boss or colleagues. It does make sense when you think of it, doesn't it?

🔥 Hot take (that shouldn't be a hot take): Sharing personal details from 1:1 candidate interviews on social media is unprofessional and unethical. ❓ The candidate showed up late and you think that's unprofessional? ❓ The candidate lacked manners during the interview? ❓ You called the candidate on their phone and they responded in a very colloquial, informal manner, which you think doesn't suit the hiring process? ❓ The candidate appeared inappropriately dressed? Great – now go and tell them that in private. 📞 Send personal feedback.(the key word here being 'personal') But airing out their "dirty laundry" in public? A major no-no. ❌ Not only do these posts harm career prospects of entire generations (notably Gen Z), but they reflect poorly on the recruiter and the company they represent too. (Not to mention that it's a breach of confidentiality) 👀 Let's maintain a respectful and ethical environment in the recruitment industry, shall we? ❓ What are your thoughts on this topic? Do you see such posts as attempts to gain sympathy from the hiring companies through marketing or do you think they're fine? Share your experiences in the comments below. 👇 #recruitment #ethics #jobsearch #candidateexperience #professionalism

Is the Open to Work banner on LinkedIn a red flag for recruiters? Let's clear the air! We've been seeing a lot of debates on this matter, with most people worried it might send the wrong message. The popular argument is that this banner can signal desperation or a lack of commitment to your current role. Our stance? It's a great way to connect with recruiters, as it: ➡ helps us filter for active job seekers way easier ➡ fosters a culture of honesty/transparency that the hiring companies we work for share. Are there drawbacks to it? Sure. Some employers might have outdated views, but who wants to work for a company that's stuck in the past? And yes, there's a risk of your current employer finding out you're looking to switch companies, but not directly from LinkedIn, since it takes care of that by hiding the banner from your current company. Bottom line? It's a personal choice that can be helpful, especially if you want to attract the RIGHT kind of attention, but it's not a magic bullet. 💬 What are your thoughts? Have you used the Open to Work banner? Did it help or hinder your job search? #jobsearch #linkedin #networking #careeradvice #opentowork

Myth Busted: Recruiters DO Care About Candidates 🤝 There's a common misconception that recruiters only care about filling the company's needs. While it's true that companies want to hire the best talent, recruiters also want to help candidates find fulfilling roles. So, when we see a good match on both sides - we advocate! Here's a testimonial from a candidate for whom we advocated within the company, successfully landing him a job in the process. We'll take the stand and go that extra mile for you, too, as long as you've got what it takes for the job opening - because our job is to help you succeed, not just fill a seat. 🤝 Ready to find your dream job? Let's connect! #recruitment #jobsearch #careeradvice #hiring #successstory

Question to all of you who've ever been job-searching: Do you ever wish recruiters gave you more information about their expectations & your responsibilities, early in the recruiting process? We're talking about getting all the facts straight before you even get to the technical interview. Or do you think some questions are better left for experts to answer? Help us solve this conundrum! #itrecruiter #recruiting #itmarket

Many companies have employee referral programs where employees are incentivized to refer potential candidates for job openings within their company. When a referred candidate is successfully hired, the referring employee receives a bonus, often in the form of cash or other rewards. We were wondering: Have you ever been hired this way? What pros/cons of it do you see?

So, who else has seen this job interview video where the candidate had their phone propped up on their laptop screen, with ChatGPT running in the background ready to spit out answers to recruiter's questions? 😅 Now, don't get us wrong, we appreciate a candidate who's prepared. But come on! 🫠 It's not like there are right or wrong answers here. We've already screened your resume for skills & experience + the hiring company's tech people will double down on that assessment. We're simply building rapport and seeing if you're a good fit, which is a personality-thing, and ChatGPT can't replicate your personality, your quirks, or your cultural fit. So, put down the phone and let your genuine self shine through, because that's the kind of thing that'll get you hired on the spot! ❓️ What are your thoughts on this practice? (P.S. Link to the mentioned vid is in the comments, if ya wanna give it a look 😂) #jobinterview #chatgpt #fail #authenticity #hiring #recruiting
