We are the MEP/FP Engineer of Record and the Certified Passive House Consultant on the project. Cheney Senior Homes is a 49,000 GSF, 48-unit midrise apartment building located in the Roxbury neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts. Petersen Engineering has been involved in 45+ Passive House projects. This important milestone ensures the project is designed to hit all the energy targets outlined by Phius’ climate-specific, cost-optimized standard. Great start to 2024! I am excited to announce I have completed my CPHC training and exams! High performance buildings allow for significant energy cost savings, while also taking steps toward a net zero carbon emissions future. With the current climate crisis, as well as the increase in construction of Passive House buildings in Massachusetts, there seemed to be no better time to achieve this certification.
