About us
PharmaSUG is a non-profit, educational organization exists to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and to provide professional development opportunities for all software programmers (i.e. SAS, Spotfire, R, JReview, Rave, Oracle, etc.) within the pharmaceutical industry. We encourage all users to participate in the educational, training, and networking opportunities that we provide via our annual conference, country specific conferences and single day events. PharmaSUG is governed year round by an Executive Committee of past and future conference chairs who volunteer their time and expertise. PharmaSUG holds an annual conference in the spring of each year. The conference location, in the United States, usually alternates between the West Coast in the even numbered years and the East Coast in the odd numbered years. An entirely volunteer Conference Committee including Section Chairs organizes the conference. We hold an annual China conference as well as Single-Day Events throughout the year.

I am excited to announce my upcoming half-day virtual seminar at PharmaSUG SDE on Thursday, October 17! 🎉 I am thrilled to present “Navigating Clinical Trial Data Analysis with R: An Introduction to CDISC, R Programming by Example, Dealing with Missing Values, and Reporting with Quarto” in this virtual session for PharmaSUG SDE. This seminar will run from 1:30-5:30PM EST. In this seminar, we will explore the essential principles and hands-on open-source tools for analyzing clinical trial data using R. If you're looking to begin your journey into clinical trial data analysis, learn the workflow of R, or are just getting started with R programming, this is the session for you! Below is the tentative agenda: - Introduction to CDISC: Understand the current principles and requirements to ensure compliance and standardization in your datasets. (I will cover CDISC standards, why we use them, and how they are applied in R.) - R Programming by Example: Hands-on experience with Pharmaverse packages, including admiral for creating ADaM datasets, which is one of the CDISC submission standards for agencies like the U.S. FDA. - Dealing with Missing Values: Learn strategies for handling missing data using the mice package (among others), ensuring robust and reliable analyses. - Reporting with Quarto: Integrate reproducible research practices seamlessly into your workflow using Quarto for dynamic, multi-format reports. Key R Packages: - Pharmaverse: A collection of R packages designed to support pharmaceutical data analysis. - mice: A package for multiple imputation of missing data. - Quarto: A multi-language version of R Markdown with advanced reporting features. Join me for an introductory session on how to navigate clinical trial data analysis using R, perfect for beginners or those looking to learn the R workflow. See you at the PharmaSUG virtual class for an insightful and practical learning experience! 💡 #RProgramming #CDISC #Pharmaverse #ClinicalTrialData #Quarto #MissingData #DataAnalysis #Biostatistics #PharmaSUG Sign up for the virtual class here: https://lnkd.in/eWc-UFR8
