We are excited to kick off Ortho month to raise awareness for bone and joint health by spotlighting Grace. Grace is a vibrant 12-year-old who was diagnosed with Scheuermann’s Kyphosis just over a year ago. Thanks to Dr. Bennett and the incredible Orthopedic and Spine teams at Phoenix Children’s, Grace was all smiles going into a successful surgery last Wednesday, and still smiling days later after surgery! Grace and her parents, Courtney and Michael, are passionate about giving back to the community. Through their company, On Track Garage Door Service, they’re supporting the Center for Spine Care within the Herbert J. Louis Center for Orthopedic Care at Phoenix Children’s  "Everybody at the hospital has been amazing and it cements even more so how happy we are that we made the decision to give back" Michael shared following Grace's surgery. Together, we can open doors for brighter tomorrows for our patients and families!

Phoenix Children’s Foundation is pleased to have been selected to receive a $5,000 grant from Cox Communications Charities. Thanks to the generosity of Cox employees in Arizona, our Stop the Bleed (STB) program will support more than 20,000 children and youth (grades 3-12) through the purchase of 240 Bleeding Control Kits distributed to 20 schools throughout Maricopa County. Since 1985, Camp Rainbow has welcomed campers to the pines, giving them a space to just be kids. Some campers battled cancer years ago, while others are still fighting, but they all share the same camp magic. Philanthropy-funded programs like Child Life and Camp Rainbow are essential in helping children cope with the mental, emotional, and social aspects of treatment. Thanks to the generosity donors like you and corporate partners, these unforgettable experiences are provided at no cost to our patients. The nonprofit organization, founded by Jazmine’s family, supports families who are battling #childhoodcancer and helps fund pediatric cancer research.
