Our Piedmont Purpose initiative focuses on three pillars: Collaboration, Commitment, and Community. Our properties recently hosted back-to-school drives focused on collecting essential supplies to help under privileged schools within our local communities. Each event was a huge success, with our largest property collecting and donating over 350 backpacks, full of school supplies! Dr. Mitchell Aske, pictured below, principal of East Cobb Middle School, was beyond ecstatic with the amount of donations and said, “we had about 70 children who were homeless at the start of this school year.” He also stated that during a recent school supply pickup drive for families experiencing homelessness, they did not have enough items for those in need and had to turn families away. Piedmont’s donation drive allowed the district to supply many of those that were originally turned away. Thank you to our tenants for participating and giving back to the community. Piedmont is beyond proud to have such active properties that value participation in these philanthropic efforts.

In honor of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, several of our properties held watch party events to cheer on Team USA, complete with Olympic inspired snacks, cocktails, and more! Congratulations to all Team USA athletes and their incredible performances over the last two weeks to bring home the gold. We look forward to continuing our support through the Paris Paralympics and future celebrations as the Summer Olympics return home in 2028!

The Exchange in downtown Orlando beat the heat with an ice cream pop up! This activation featured treats from Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream served ice cold in the courtyard.

As a company, Piedmont is focusing on creating collaborative workspaces both indoors and outdoors. 1155 Perimeter Center W located in Atlanta, GA demonstrates the use of outdoor space with the recently completed courtyard renovation. This tenant-centric space includes bocce ball, ping pong, corn hole, grills, and multiple seating areas that flow from this new greenspace into the lobby and on-site Cloud Café.

Steps outside of US Bancorp Center in downtown Minneapolis, Nicollet Mall was transformed into Gymnastics City USA for the 2024 Gymnastics Olympic Trials. During the week of the trials, the city of Minneapolis activated the street with Promenade Du Nord, “Parisian Street Fair”, showcasing both local and international artists, vendors, and performers, in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Tenants enjoyed taking a break from their workday to join in on the festivities taking place right outside the lobby! Good luck to all the athletes participating in this year's Paris Olympic Games. During a recent event at 1180 Peachtree in Atlanta, we served gourmet coffee and gelato as a mid-afternoon pop up.
