The Innovation and Design Building in Boston is home to over 10 life sciences companies, including Elektrofi and Aktis Oncology, which recently completed successful funding rounds. Electrofi raised $112 million in Series C funding to expand access to life-changing medicines, while Aktis Oncology raised $175 million Series B funding to support its development of new cancer treatments. The proximity of innovative companies within the building creates natural opportunities for collaboration and idea-sharing, helping contribute to Boston's thriving innovation ecosystem.

  • Through our Innovation Ideas program, launched in 2018, we actively seek and develop creative solutions from our employees. To date, we've received over 600 submissions from every level and department of the company, and roughly 30% of our tech pilots across the portfolio originated as Innovation Ideas. By crowdsourcing ideas and fostering a culture of innovation, we seek to harness the collective creativity of our employees to drive meaningful solutions at our properties. #CommercialRealEstate #CRE #Innovation #PropTech

  • With New Year's celebrations now behind us, we marked the final descent and retirement of the current Times Square New Year's Eve Ball, which has sat atop One Times Square and presided over the historic annual celebration since 2008. The Ball moved from the building’s roof to its interior, where it will serve as a centerpiece of the new Times Travel immersive history experience, set to open to the public in Fall 2025. One Times Square will debut a brand-new Ball for next year’s New Year’s Eve celebration. Read more about the retirement ceremony from The New York Times here: https://lnkd.in/ds2RASz6

  • Unexpected food and beverage offerings provide a way to surprise and engage visitors, connecting them more deeply with the retail experience. At Chelsea Market in New York, Japanese retailer MUJI U.S.A. Limited has expanded their existing retail offering with the MUJI Food Market -- MUJI's first food offering in the U.S. This new addition includes a seven-seat counter, presenting a space for visitors to enjoy authentic Japanese flavors. From onigiri to espresso made by an AI-powered coffee-making robot named Jarvis, the expansion offers a unique way to connect with Japanese culture, much like the retail offerings of MUJI. For more details on MUJI’s new offering at Chelsea Market, you can read the full article in Forbes here: https://lnkd.in/dyY69Mz6

  • Avenue East Cobb in the Atlanta suburb of Marietta has come a long way since its debut in 1996. In 2021, the property began a transformation that included the addition of experiential programming, an updated leasing strategy, and structural changes. The redevelopment introduced an 8,000-square-foot event plaza, establishing a community space at its core, alongside a series of other upgrades. Today, the mixed-use destination draws over a million visitors annually, serving as a go-to destination for the Marietta community.

  • Activating outdoor spaces year-round can be challenging in the colder months, but Colony Square in Atlanta embraces the opportunity each winter. Introduced in 2020 as a social distancing solution for events, the Winter Squares have since become an annual tradition for the community to enjoy. These cozy seating areas, complete with fire pits, set the stage for a season filled with movie events, family-friendly fun, and romantic date nights.

  • We have been readying for today's New Year's Eve festivities in Times Square for weeks. We hosted Good Morning America for the raising of the ‘5’ numeral to the top of the building. We installed the final of the new crystals in the New Year's Eve Ball. We tested the confetti and ensured the ball-raising mechanism is ready to go. Now, all that’s left is the iconic New Year's Eve Ball Drop Celebration. Follow behind-the-scenes content on Instagram (@onetimessquarenyc) throughout the day, and tune in to the festivities tonight across the major TV networks—or join our VNYE live stream at VNYE.com. You can also experience New Year's Eve in Fortnite's Times Square Island. Wishing you a Happy New Year! #commercialrealestate #CRE #NewYorkCity #TimesSquare #NYE2025
