Our Douglas, GA, facility recently provided food, water and ice to those affected by Hurricane Helene. Douglas had supply stations set up at their facility as well as two churches in order to provide convenient pickup locations for anyone in need. Great work, Douglas!

Our Moorefield, WV, facility was recently named “Large Business of the Year” by the Hardy County Chamber of Commerce. Moorefield was chosen for this award because of their efforts to produce high-quality chicken while also making a positive impact in the Hardy County community. Great work, team Moorefield!

Recently, team members from our corporate headquarters participated in the United Way of Weld County Annual Golf Tournament. In total, we were able to raise $43,000 for United Way of Weld County to utilize towards their “Reading Great by 8” initiative, which ensures kiddos in the community are fluent readers by 4th grade.

Team members from our Lufkin, TX, facility recently attended the 2024 Texas Broiler Symposium. At the symposium, team members were able to expand their knowledge on current poultry industry challenges and learn new ways to help improve their production methods. Great work, team Lufkin!

Our DeQueen, AR, facility recently celebrated the achievement of reaching 12 million safe man hours. This achievement means that our DeQueen facility has operated for 12 million hours without an injury occurring. At Pilgrim’s, safety is a condition. Keep up the fantastic work, DeQueen!

To celebrate the return to school and the hard work of the Hardy County Bus Drivers, our Moorfield, WV, recently donated lunch to all bus drivers in Hardy County. Way to go, team Moorefield!

Our Lufkin, TX, facility had four team members participate in the Nacogdoches Jaycees 3rd Annual Golf Tournament. The money raised at the tournament will benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Deep East Texas. Nice work, team Lufkin!

Our DeQueen, AR, facility recently hosted a free lab workshop for all team members. DeQueen partnered with Dr. Randy Walker Family Practice & Allergy Clinic to provide this resource for all team members. Over 100 team members participated in the event where they had the opportunity to have lab work performed, cholesterol levels checked, average blood sugar (A1C test) checked and their thyroid function checked. Great idea, team DeQueen!

We are proud to announce our new partnership with GreenGasUSA to produce renewable natural gas (RNG) at several of our processing facilities. By installing GreenGasUSA’s on-site gas upgrading systems, biogas collected from the wastewater streams of Pilgrim’s facilities will be purified into pipeline-quality RNG, allowing end users to displace fossil fuel usage. The partnership will begin with initial installations at the Pilgrim’s facility in Sumter, SC. “At JBS and Pilgrim’s, we’re committed to reducing the impact of food production by partnering with stakeholders to reduce our carbon footprint. This collaboration with GreenGasUSA is a perfect example of these efforts,” said Wesley Batista Filho, CEO of JBS Foods USA. “This innovative approach takes what was once an unused byproduct of food production and transforms it to offset a significant amount of fossil fuels. This process can be a model for the rest of the industry to follow.”

Last weekend, our Nacogdoches, TX, facility participated in the Nac Safe Place Suicide Prevention Walk. They set up a booth at the event where giveaway items and information on Pilgrim’s was provided and also participated in the walk. Great work, Nacogdoches!
