Delivering a construction project on time isn’t easy on the nerves. Now imagine that a rocket launch depends on it! 🚀 With a timely delivery determining whether or not a Mars Rover got sent into space, Pinkard was responsible for the massive renovation of United Launch Alliance’s Centennial headquarters in 2011. The $36 million project included 450,000 sf of campus remodels and build-outs to consolidate 1,700 ULA employees into a four-building campus. Requiring high security protocols and background checks for every worker on site, this highly technical project also featured 34,000 sf of avionics labs, a Launch Operations Support Center, and a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCIF) space. Despite an accelerated schedule and owner scop additions, Pinkard finished the job in budget and on time for liftoff of the rover.
